The Pathway team

Rob McGregor_If this is Thursday, this must be Sydney, right? The Pathway to Wealth program was developed by Rob McGregor, an authorised representative of Professional Investment Services.

Rob has more than 19 years' experience in some of Australia's leading financial institutions as well as his own successful practice in Noosa Heads on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Through his own practice, Rob recognised a need to give clients aged 35 to 50, who are considered to be in an 'accumulation' phase of their financial life, a simple, structured and successful way of building wealth for retirement.

From here he created Pathway to Wealth – the simple steps to financial success. The program achieved recognition as a 2009 Finalist of the Asset Innovation Awards hosted by the Australian Financial Review.

Rob now trains and mentors financial advisers around the country in providing the Pathway program to their clients.

Rob's achievements in the financial industry and also as a business strategist have been recognised through a number of awards, including Financial Planner of the Year with his previous dealer group and runner up Money Management Financial Planner of the Year, 2011. Our Vision

We believe it should be simple to build a decent retirement nestegg – anything from $500k to $2m to maintain the standard of living people enjoyed during working years and to provide a decent quality of life in retirement.

But the reality is that around 80% of Australians* will qualify for the aged pension when they retire – just $27,482# per couple per annum. And of these people, more than half will receive less than $20 per week to supplement this.

Not much for a lifetime of work!

By delivering great advice that people 'get' and appreciate, we know that Pathway to Wealth can build a decent retirement nestegg of anywhere between $500k and $2m for 'everyday' people.

Pathway to Wealth is an unashamedly client-focussed program. We want our clients coming back in 10-15 years saying 'thank God that we did that'.

Our vision is simple

We want to work with successful practices that, through the Pathway to Wealth Adviser Program, have built a portfolio of 100-plus ideal Wealth Builder clients. ... and those clients are over the moon at the results they achieve.

Our goal is to innovate

... and change the landscape of financial planning to make a difference in the lives of our clients and advisers, to end up with a win-win for both.

Our purpose is to enable

... everyday people become millionaires.

"There are costs and risks to a program of action, but they are far less than the long-range costs of comfortable inaction"

John F. Kennedy

Client Testimonials

"Steve and I began the 'Pathway to Wealth' program back in September 2007 when my now Husband and I were joining our finances together. We saw it as a hassle-free way and a fantastic opportunity to be able to save for, and be very comfortable in, our retirement.

We are both not good savers but very good payers, so we saw it as an enforced saving – once you start it you don't miss the money. So we leave it all to them and they do all the hard work for us including debt recycling, finance and/or refinance of loans, insurance and accounting.

We say it's all done with 'smoke and mirrors' as the advisers make it look so easy (but we know of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes) and we don't ever have to really do anything except keep up our end of the agreement.

The service is always very personalised and we always feel very important, especially when we have our annual meetings to check the progress of everything. We also get very excited in the meetings when they tells us we are either on track or ahead of the projected amount – then it definitely makes any sacrifices worthwhile.

We have great confidence in the ingenious 'Pathway to Wealth' program."

Karen & Stephen Kelly

"So far the Pathway to Wealth experience for us has been establishing the program, refinancing our home loan, starting a share investment portfolio and a savings plan. Once the paperwork was completed its been basically set & forget.

In 16 months we now have a very competitive home loan rate, account balances in shares and savings growing nicely and are looking forward to establishing an investment property. We would never have had the time and discipline to set this up without help. We encourage everyone to check this program out."

Rob & Annie Cook

"My wife and I attended the 'Pathway to Wealth' seminar on the spur of the moment.

The information was presented in a sound and low key manner. You couldn't deny the facts and the time to finally act was now upon us. In the past it had always been 'too hard' or something that we would 'get around to' when we had a spare moment.

This time we challenged the Pathway team to get us up and running in the quickest possible time with the least possible stress as we were in the process of moving overseas. They have chased us (in a good way) and organised us to the point where we are finally happy with our future financial plan.

We have now asked them to look after our lending and insurance requirements as well. I highly recommend the service."

Mike Minett

"When we joined the Pathway to Wealth program in 2007 we were looking for diversity with our investments which other financial advisers couldn't give us – but Pathway delivered.

We now have an investment property, have almost paid off our family home, have a managed share fund and enjoy the associated tax benefits.

Looking forward to a comfortable retirement!"

Murray & Sue Ferguson
